How do I create a Groom customer account?

You can sign up as a Customer and your account is ready to do choose services/products, - Signup using Email ID -Signup using Phone Number -Signup using Google ID -Signup using Facebook

You can edit your profile from the “Account” option in the left menu or from the profile page.

Search/Book/Reschedule/Cancel an Appointment?

You can search / book / reschedule / cancel appointments as a customer user.

Can I contact a professional before booking?

No, As a customer you can contact a professional (service provider) only after booking . If you did not book an appointment you can only review the provider profiles and service or product details.

How do I manage my notification settings?

No, You can not manage your notification setting as a customer . It's coming soon

How much time does a professional have to respond to my request?

Professionals must respond within 24 hours or prior to the booked time slot.

How do I view and send messages?

You can go with the “Inbox” tab under left the menu and review your communication.

Customers can rate the professionals on their services/bookings. We ask that you rate and provide feedback for each booking. This helps us to promote professionals with high standards.

How do I search for a professional?

Customers can use the search option at home screen to find services and view the reviews and profiles of the providers.

What if I cancel late or do not show up to my appointment?

Please review the cancellation policy chosen by the shop or provider to ensure you agree.

How to pay your professionals ?

As a customer ,You can pay using our payment options like CC/DC etc.. We do not have the option to pay professionals as a provider in the current app ,We are looking to include it in the next phase.

What if a professional asks for more money?

You can dispute and ask for admin support for settlement about extra payment.

How do I request a refund from my professional for a problem I encountered at my appointment?

You can ask for payment through the “Request Money” option. You can also dispute ,If It is an issue that is not resolved with the provider .

Is there a risk that Groom will allow multiple clients to book during the same time slot?

No, The Groom platform is well tested and verified, Clients can not book any service on same time slot

Do Providers have to confirm bookings made by my customers?

Yes, Provider must have confirmed the booking.

How will I know if clients leave me messages or comments when booking their appointments?

You will receive notifications for all activities. These will be displayed in the notifications center.

How do I report a safety incident?

Users can report using contact us (Contact Groom) .

Where can I find details about my transaction history?

Customer - You can find detail in your completed order.

How does it work when Groom verifies your identity?

You have to upload your document with the “verify me” option at profile, Admin will verify and provide the badge.

Is providing identification to Groom secure?

Yes, We have our policy to secure your personal data.

What are the requirements to book on Groom?

You have to make an account over the groom platform. You have a payment option to pay for services or products. You have your ID documents along with the groom app to verify.

How do I verify my phone number?

You can verify your phone number from the edit account using the OTP option.

Why am I getting an error when I try to link my credit card?

User will not get error once adding credit card, But we have also a help section to provide help for getting any issues .

Groom offers 3 subscription options: • Freemium: 2-sided marketplace (Airbnb) for shops in the hair care industry. o No Monthly/Yearly cost o Groom fee paid at checkout • Professional: SaaS for non-national chains in the hair care industry. o Multiple shops and managers o Monthly/Yearly cost, plus Groom fee. • Enterprise: SaaS for national or global chains in the hair care industry. o Unlimited shops, multiple managers. o Monthly/Yearly cost, plus Groom fee.

How does Groom work?

In an industry plagued by scammers and time wasters; Groom brings security and time savings to the hair care industry. Groom is a SaaS marketplace application for the hair care industry. While our business model is unique, we are competing against all other booking platforms.

How long can a professional take to respond to my request?

Professionals must respond prior to the booked time slot or within 24 hours.

What operating systems support the Groom App? If I have a Windows Phone, can I use Groom?

Groom supports platform - Android , IOS, Web We do not have support for windows phones .

Customer - Groom takes a 1-5% checkout cost and membership is free for customers. Provider - There are three types of membership cost for provider users,1. Basic - $0 (Free) 2.Professional - $100 per month 3.Small Business - $500 per month

No, We do not have an option for marking off. Currently you can set your calendar by the hours available each day. In a future update, providers will be able to customize their calendars.

No, Customers must login in the Groom platform to book a service. In a future update, providers will be able to send appointments to customers.

Yes but currently reminders must be sent manually from the provider. In a future update, reminders will be sent to clients automatically.

Can I reschedule an appointment if I can not perform the service?

Yes, Provider have an option to reschedule their appointments.

How do I contact my clients?

You can message your customers through the booking, directly via the app. You can also send reminders and call your clients after booking confirmation.

Can I group my services into categories? (Hair treatment, facial treatment, body treatment etc.)

No, You can only group into the category - My Services and Product .

Do I always have to select the price of my services?

No ,You can define service pricing at the time of creation.

How to add services when price or duration time depends on a few factors (such as hair length or condition of hair)?

We do not have such a type of option for now.

Can workers also manage calendars and appointments on their smartphones?

They can manage, It depends on permissions, Only the shop owner/provider can manage the schedule.

Can I set different working hours for all workers?

No, We do not have such an option in the current app for provider owners .

Can I assign workers to a certain service or category?

No, We do not have this option for now .

Can my business profile be added to more than one service category?

Yes ,you can add more than one service.

How can I inform my clients about using Groom to book an appointment with me?

You can invite your friend and share the app with your client .

What is an admin dashboard?

Admin dashboard will show the short information using analysis graphs, reports, weekly/monthly/yearly data and other related information.

How does the cancellation fee system work? Is the client charged the deposit before the appointment?

1.Customers can cancel the booking made by them to a new date and time slot if available. 2.The cancellation options (hours/days before the actual appointment time) and consequences of this action (any cost associated with cancelling) will depend on the options chosen by the Shop Owner/Manager. 3.The users can cancel the booking made by them “digit” (hours/days) from the actual date and time of booking. Upon cancellation the users will receive the amount in their wallet after deducting the booking and service charges. 4.The users cannot cancel the booking post “Digit” (hours/days) from the date and time of booking.

Can I have different tax rates for different services?

It depends on geolocation and their government taxes on services.We do not have different tax rates for service from our platform.

How do I handle tips using Groom? Can I make them mandatory using the system?

Yes,You have an option for tips in the groom platform. Groom ask “tip” from customers as an optional service for service providers.

Clients who pay cash/other payment method?

Where can I find details about my transaction history?

Provider - You can choose an option from Left Menu -- > Your Account -- > Payments -- > History .

How does it work when Groom verifies your identity?

Once you have uploaded your document using the “verify me” option in the profile section, the Groom Admin will review and verify your name on the profile and ID match. Once verified, you will receive a badge on your profile.

Is providing identification to Groom secure?

Yes, We have our policy to secure your personal data.

Admin can set up under the Settings menu.

Cancellation Policy

This is the most strict option for customers and requires them to cancel 72 hours before start, for a full refund. This means you won’t get paid if a guest cancels at least 72 hours before start. If they cancel after that, you'll get paid for the service.

This is a moderately flexible option for customers that allows them to cancel for a full refund until 24 hours before start. This means you won’t get paid if a guest cancels at least 24 hours before start. If they cancel after that, you’ll get paid 50% of the service cost.

This is the most flexible option for customers and allows them to cancel for a full refund until 8 hours before start. If customers cancel later than 8 hours before start, you’ll get paid 100% for the service.
